Sec. 7-201. Receipt of funds. Appropriations. Any charter commission or consolidation commission appointed under the provisions of this chapter is authorized to receive for its own use and purposes any funds or money from any source, including gifts and contributions, made by any individual, corporation or association. Any unit of local government is authorized to appropriate funds for expenses incurred by any charter commission, consolidation commission or combined charter and consolidation commission in the performance of its purposes.
