Sec. 14-282a. School bus and student transportation vehicle inspectors. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall assign the necessary number of inspectors for the purpose of maintaining a system of continuing inspection of school buses and student transportation vehicles, investigation of accidents involving school buses and student transportation vehicles and investigation of complaints against the owners and drivers of school buses and student transportation vehicles, and to coordinate the various school bus safety programs. (a) to require commissioner to establish inspection districts for maintaining a system of continuing inspection of student transportation vehicles; P.A. 14-130 deleted Subsec. (a) designator, replaced “establish eight inspection districts” with “assign the necessary number of inspectors” and deleted former Subsec.
